A public website tells customers what you do. An employee portal is where the team works: schedule, tasks, records, and a manager view that the rest of the staff does not see.
The problem
The schedule lives on one person’s laptop. Updates go out by text. A new hire cannot find the list. Managers piece the day together from three apps that do not talk.
How I approach it
I build a private tool around that day. Phone-first, because the crew is not at a desk. Separate doors for staff and managers. The marketing site can stay short, or the portal can sit beside a contractor site, a shop, or another business site. Questions
Do you build employee portals?
Yes. Staff tools and manager dashboards are a core service, separate from the public marketing site. Customers do not see internal numbers.
Is this the same as a client portal?
No. A client portal is for the customer — files, messages, approvals. An employee portal is for your team. A project can include both.
Can a clinic, shop, or contractor use the same kind of tool?
Yes. The screens change with the work. The pattern is the same: a phone-ready staff view and a manager view that stays private.
